Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary is a 240 sq km protected natural habitat located in the Western Ghats of India, on the Goa-Karnataka border.The area covered by the sanctuary is heavily forested and is famous for pristine vegetation – West Coast tropical evergreen forests and deciduous forests which are found on the higher altitudes along the banks of perennial rivers.It houses a variety of plants, birds, and animals and thus is popular amongst nature lovers and hikers.The state bird of Goa, Ruby-throated Yellow Bulbul is the most common of 120 species of birds found here

Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary is located in South-Eastern Goa, India. It constitutes one of the vital corridors of the Western Ghats and covers an area of about 211km.  Netravali or Neturli is an important tributary of River Zuari, which originates in the sanctuary.Netravali is known for its dense forests, biodiversity, and serene environment. It’s a great place to explore wildlife, waterfalls, and trekking trails, away from the bustling coastal areas.There is an entry Fees of Rs 100 per person and Rs 50 for two wheeler.From the main gate you need to travel around 4km to reach the waterfall and walk 500m to reach the waterfall. You can go near the waterfall and play there.On the way there is a temple where we can see a pond in which bubbles come when you clap.Saveri Waterfallis the one of the top attraction and the trail leading to waterfall is just beautiful. You have to cross multiple small streams on the way and that adds to the excitement. The trek to the waterfalls were thrilling and exciting.The trek for Savri fall is about 1km and for Mainapi waterfall 4.5 km.Strawberry farm is also there worth visiting in the Netravali. There you can see farming of Strawberry and buy fresh strawberries then and there only.Those interested for some adventure and fond of trekking peaks have many such attractive places to visit. Best time to visit is from October to February.

7.Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary

The village is the primary entry point for Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park.Mollem is a small village in Goa, South India on National Highway 4 near the border with Karnataka in the foothills of the Sahyadri Mountain range at the beginning of Anmod Ghat.Such a beautiful creation by nature!!While not a traditional hill station, this sanctuary offers stunning views of the Western Ghats and is surrounded by hills and thick forests. It is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, making it a great spot for nature lovers.An adventurous drive by the jeep for almost an hour to the majestic Dudh Sagar waterfall. On the way it’s a lush green rain forest with a few water crossings.During the dry season time you have to reach dudhsagar falls by jeep and when it’s rainy season you have to reach by trekking or by train there. The entry fees inside the national park is rs 100 per person. When taking a jeep the rates are very confusing and one might end up paying more.
